Welcome! I write gothic mysteries, with a hint of the paranormal. Some of my favorite writers are Mary Stewart, Agatha Christie, and Dorothy Eden. I especially love gothics from the 1920s through the 1940s — such a haunting tumultuous time. This web site/blogging thing is all new to me, so thanks for joining me on this writer’s journey. I love taking pictures of old cemeteries, especially when it’s foggy and misty, so as soon as I get up and running, I’ll be posting pictures that I take in my travels. I’ll be blogging as often as possible, and would like to hear from everyone! If you are writing on behalf of a book club, I am happy to provide reader questions to my books. I would like to hear from you!

I’ve been a little Downton in the mouth lately – ready for season 4 of Downton Abby! Fiction set in the twenties is hot right now, but that era has always had a special significance for me. The lack of Internet, and in many instances electricity, lends itself to the perfect setting for historical gothics. Just discovered a new author, Simone St. James, who writes English ghosts stories set in the 1920s. “The Haunting of Maddy Clare” and “An Inquiry into Love and Death” are both excellent reads, with an equal measure of creepy ghost story, and strong female heroines that make you just want more from this talented author.
